realbuzz Shakeout Run – 45 Additional Places

Terms & Conditions

To celebrate the 45th Irish Life Dublin Marathon, Dublin Marathon Group offered 45 registered 2026 Irish Life Dublin Marathon runners the opportunity to take part in the realbuzz Shakeout Run on Saturday, 24th October 2026

Eligibility

Entrants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over.
  • Hold a valid entry for the 2026 Irish Life Dublin Marathon.
  • Be available to participate in the realbuzz Shakeout Run on Saturday, 24 October 2026.
  • Enter during the stated entry period and in accordance with the entry instructions below.

No additional payment is required to enter.

How to Enter

  • Entries opened on Monday, 14 September 2026 and closed on Sunday, 20 September at 5pm.
  • To enter, runners had to comment on the official promotional post HERE, tag a fellow Dublin Marathon runner and tell us why they’d love a place at the realbuzz Shakeout Run.
  • The person submitting the comment is the entrant. Tagging another runner does not enter that person into the promotion.
  • Only one entry per person will be considered.

Selection

  • Dublin Marathon Group will review all eligible entries and select 45 runners based on their response to the question.
  • Responses will be considered based on their relevance and authenticity. Writing ability will not be a factor.
  • The decision of Dublin Marathon Group is final.

Successful Entrants

  • The 45 successful entrants will be contacted directly by Dublin Marathon Group.
  • Successful entrants may be required to provide their Irish Life Dublin Marathon registration details to confirm eligibility.
  • Each successful entrant must accept their place and complete any required registration within the timeframe specified. If they do not respond within that timeframe, cannot verify their eligibility or are unable to participate, Dublin Marathon Group reserves the right to offer the place to another eligible entrant.

Places

  • Each successful entrant will receive one complimentary place in the realbuzz Shakeout Run on Saturday, 24 October 2026.
  • Places are personal to the successful entrant and cannot be transferred, exchanged, resold or redeemed for cash.
  • Travel, accommodation and other costs associated with attending the event are not included.
  • Participation is subject to the standard event terms, conditions and requirements applicable to the realbuzz Shakeout Run.

Personal Information

  • Personal information provided as part of the promotion will be used to administer the selection, verify eligibility and contact successful entrants, in accordance with Dublin Marathon Group’s Privacy Policy.
  • Entry into the promotion does not constitute permission for Dublin Marathon Group or its partners to use an entrant’s personal story, image or other personal information for additional promotional or media purposes. Where this is proposed, appropriate permission will be sought separately.

Social Media

  • This promotion is administered by Dublin Marathon Group and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with the social media platform on which it appears.
  • Entrants must comply with the applicable social media platform’s terms and conditions.

General

  • Dublin Marathon Group reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and to exclude any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
  • Dublin Marathon Group reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
  • By entering, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Shakeout Run Bib Number Collection

  • All participants must collect their realbuzz Shakeout Run bib at the Irish Life Dublin Marathon Expo on Friday, 23 October, between 12:00pm and 7:00pm.
  • Shakeout Run bibs will not be posted in advance.

Further participant information will be available ahead of Marathon Weekend.
