2024 Irish Life Dublin Marathon Transfer & Refund

Dublin Marathon organisers have announced the 2024 transfer windows for race entrants. Jim Aughney, Race Director, said: “We have taken onboard runners feedback and made the transfer window as late as feasible.”

Transfers Irish Life Dublin Marathon

For the Irish Life Dublin Marathon, the transfer window will open from Wednesday July 24th to Monday 26th August . In 2023, it occurred a month earlier in July. Race organisers cannot move the date later than this as it would impact the appropriate event management needed to organise an event of this magnitude of the marathon. The Ticket Transfer process will be managed via Eventmaster with a €20 fee charged to the ticket recipient.

Transfers Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon

If, as in previous years, the Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon sells out, a transfer window for entrants will be provided for the first time from Wednesday, July 24th to Monday, August 26th th. The Ticket Transfer process will be managed via Eventmaster with a €5 fee for the person receiving the ticket.

Refund Window

The refund window for the Irish Life Dublin Marathon will again occur from July 3rd to July 16th to allow for the resale of any entries. Entrants who opt for this will be charged €20 to cover the administration of the refund and the process of replacing that entrant.

There will be no refund option for the Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon.

Resale

Places made available via the refund window will be resold on a first-come-first-served basis from Monday, July 22nd. The link will be available on the event website: https://irishlifedublinmarathon.ie/.

If you cannot participate because you are pregnant or postpartum, you can defer your place to one of the following three years. To obtain a pregnancy or postpartum deferral, the race entrant will need to submit a pregnancy or postpartum deferral request no later than 14 days before race day to office@dublinmarathon.ie

Selling and Swapping Numbers

Please note selling or attempting to swap race numbers outside of the transfer window will result in the number being cancelled.
