2,000 Additional Places Now Available for SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon.

The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon are delighted to announce that the authorities have allowed an additional 2,000 spaces to be made available for this year’s marathon being held on Sunday 30th October. This will bring to 19,500 the number of runners partaking in this year’s event and will bring the SEE Airtricity Dublin Marathon into the fourth largest marathon in Europe.

A waiting list has been created to reallocate the additional entries. Priority will go to those who have competed in the 2016 SSE Airtricity Race Series. Applicants who are successful in securing a spot will be notified on 31st August 2016. Waiting list registration can be found athttp://sseairtricitydublinmarathon.ie/contact-us/

Entries for the 2016 SSE Dublin Airtricity Marathon first opened in November 2015 with entry guaranteed to those who applied before July 31st. The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon forms part of the Dublin Race Series. The third event in the Race Series, the Frank Duffy 10 miles takes place on Saturday 20th August. Entries for the penultimate event, the half marathon in the Phoenix Park, which takes place on 24th September are still available at http://sseairtricitydublinmarathon.ie

Important Update re entry

Registration for the 2016 SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon has closed earlier than anticipated due to unprecedented demand for places. Despite an increase of an additional 2,000 places being made available to accommodate the new Sunday format, the event has reached its capacity of 17,500.

A waiting list has been created to reallocate any additional spots that may arise. Priority will go to those who have competed in the 2016 SSE Airtricity Race Series. Those getting one of the places will be informed on 31st August 2016. Waiting list registration can be found athttp://sseairtricitydublinmarathon.ie/contact-us/

We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment, but the health and safety of race participants remains our priority. We are currently working with the authorities to explore ways of increasing the capacity for next year’s event.

The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon forms part of the Dublin Race Series with entries for the half marathon which takes place the 24th of September in the Phoenix Park, still available.

SSE Airtricity Irish Runner 5 M will close this Friday the 27th May

Just a reminder that our full SSE Airtricity Dublin Race Series & Marathon bundle will close this Friday the 27th May along with entry for the Irish Runner 5 Mile.

If you’re interested in joining us for the 5 events then sign up today for €130. This price includes your technical t-shirt, goodie bag and your free gift or medal.

The bundle will reopen again next week for the final 4 events but remember it’s only 158 days to go until the big day!!
