A big congratulations to the winners of SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon 2013 Maria McCambridge and Sean Hehir  who are joined by Claire McCarthy, second Lady last year as they have been selected on the Irish Team for the Marathon Cup team marathon competition run in conjunction with the European Championships in Zurich in August. 

They will be joined on the team by Paul Pollock (9th and first Irish man in Dublin Marathon 2012), Tomas Frazier (4th finisher in SEE Airtricity Dublin Marathon 2013) and Kevin Seaward on the mens team and by Nicola Duncan with Barbara Sanchez (1st Irish Lady Dublin Marathon 2010).

There are still some FREE tickets available for An Evening with Neil Cusack which takes place on Friday night (Good Friday) in the Gibson Hotel in the Point Village- starting at 8pm.

This event will be a Special Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Neil Cusack’s Boston Marathon win of 1974 and will include a wide ranging interview with the Limerick runner who competed in two Olympics and 13 International Cross Country Championships. Neil Cusack’s interview with Irish Runner Editor Frank Greally will be followed by an audience Q & A session. There will be plenty of Tips from Neil on Training, Racing and Good Marathon Preparation. Neil also won the Dublin Marathon in 1981.
